No, it is not based on the 837. A provider can elect to recieve an 835 on paper claims as well.
We are basing it on a provider or submitter contacting us and requesting to recieve the transaction. We will then set up tests, set up EDI connectivity, and coordinate a Trading Partner Agreement with the requesting entity.
