In reference to reporting Encounters (BHT06 = RP). I understand that claims submitted for payment must meet all of the HIPAA rules (correct codes, no missing data, etc.) Is this necessarily true of Encounters, or could two partners mutually agree which edits will be performed and can these edits be fewer or less critical than those required for claims?
