A company is sending encounter reporting electronically. I am assuming this will be an 837 transaction. If the company now sends formatted error reports for encounter reporting electronically via email, would this be a HIPAA transaction, if the error report identified errors in individual records? Which HIPAA transaction(s) would this be?
