on page 29 of the X91 document 835 payment/advice, the reversal method is very detailed and explains to use code 22 "reversal of previous payment" and code CR "corrections and reversals"
this is also repeated in the "explanation of claim adjustment group codes" under the CR code. when I look at code 22 in the table stated, it does not say "reversal of previous payment" it says "... before entering the adjudication system." am I looking in the wrong place? thanks Kay Medley, Security Administrator Office of Group Benefits HIPAA Compliance Unit P.
