Hi - I have a question regarding Coordination of Benefits within the 834 - and specifically the use of Insured Group or Policy number within the COB segments.
Within Loop 2320, is there any difference between Insured Group or Policy Number (COB02) and Insured Group or Policy Number (REF02). If they are different, what is contained within each? If they are the same which group or policy number is being communicated? The policy number of the other coverage being referenced in the COB (2320) loop or the policy number of the coverage being communicated in the HD segment?
