Title: RE: Transactions Listserv Problem

I tried that, but found that it was nearly impossible to set up the filter. If I set up a filter to trash any messages with "out of office" in the subject or body, then I also trashed any messages from folks who used that phrase when discussing the problem.

The best solution is for the people that set up the autoreply to filter out messages from the listserv(s).

For those of you using MS Exchange you can setup a Filter rule for "Out Of Office" or "PTO" messages and move them directly to your delete folder.

You are right in what you said... that the Reply-To was set to the listserv.

The vacation messages are still a pain.... when you send an email to the
listserv, that you get a ton of out-of-the-offie auto vacation replies which
you don't care for...

It would be nice if there is a feature to block them being sent to the
sender of the mail to the listserv.  Maybe the vacation programs allow some
rules to NOT send the vacation messages if it is responding to the sender of
email (to the listserv).

From what I can tell, this out-of-office problem is due to
a recent change in the way the transactions listserv sends the
listserv messages.  If I go back to messages sent to the listserv
before noon on the 21st, if I click reply the reply message has
the individual who sent the message as the recipient of the reply.
On the other hand, all messages sent after noon, June 21st if you
click reply the recipient is "[EMAIL PROTECTED]".  There must
have been a change made to the listserv on the 21st that is causing
this behavior that should be reversed.  There is NO NEED for anyone
to change their out of office reply if this change is reversed, as
all out-of-office messages should then only go to the original
sender, not the entire listserv.

I do not feel that individuals that are on the list should use the "Out of
Office" feature! I had over 150 "Out of the Office" messages having missed
work on Friday. Maybe the transactions group needs to set up some
limitations of the listserv?

How do I remove myself from this list?  I will be gone for a week and do
not
want my mailbox filled up with everyone else's "I am out of the office"
auto
messages.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks
