Well... I guess a lot of you did get the posting. Feedback from those that did (admitted "lurkers") is, so far, all positive. Thank you. I have received a lot of personal responses this morning. All with one of two themes:
1) I didn't get the attachment You can download a self-extracting "zip" file from: www.cal.net/mmorri/bin/270_ANSI_File_Viewer.exe (177k download) (This one is slightly improved from the file posted as it is 25% smaller and doesn't rely on "*" as the element delimiter.) 2) Do you have plans for doing something like this with the other transactions? This is actually the third transaction I've done this for. The versions I did for 837, 834 and 820 were part of the learning curve for this one and are not ready for prime time. I was hoping my post would light a fire under some of the developer types to get us something portable, trustworthy, easy and useful. If nobody steps up, I guess I'll be doing more of this kind of thing (In my copious spare time). Did any of you that got the file have any negative feedback?
