Subject: Claim Status Question
Hi All,
We have an interesting dilemma. We would like to identify a dental
claim inquiry from a professional/institutional claim inquiry (different
system routing). The 276 does not have any place to identify what type of
claim the status is being requested on.
We are thinking of requiring the SVC line segment be submitted (so that
we can then identify through a qualifer of AD on the procedure code).
Can anyone think of another method? Would we requiring the SVC be
submitted be out of compliance?
