See if the "Remarks codes" on the 835 will meet your need. There is a category of remarks codes for appeals - the actual codes are listed below. Remarks codes can be found at www.wpc-edi.com.

All:
Issue-there is a need to display appeals rights information on an 835. Currently, neither the final rule nor the addenda allow for this information to be attached by the health plan. I do not believe that DDE is an option.
Has anybody come across this issue? If so, how is it being handled?
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
