There are one or two bugs in the handling of -x mplayer in the current cvs head. The first is that if there is an error raised by mplayer due to a bad option, transcode hangs forever waiting for the mplayer process to return.
The second is that long option lists to mplayer are truncated, causing them to raise exceptions in mplayer, causing a hang ;^) The good news is that the mplayer based probing makes my script avitovob pointless! Hooray!
