I appreciate this VERY much Francesco, since today I have built cvs ffmpeg, mplayer, and transcode, and find that I cannot make cvs 1.1.X transcode do anything useful. Transcode 1.0.2 is running fine with cvs ffmpeg and mplayer in spite of the fact that with the new ffmpeg installed the configure script spits out: ERROR: requirement failed: cannot compile ffmpeg/avcodec.h It built fine and works correctly in spite of that.
