Neither 1.0.4 will be (tested a few days ago), and no more any 1.0.x, I suspect. Recent libc-dev (or linux-libc-dev, I've not yet figured the exact root of the problem, see below) have raised this issue. This already was a dormant (?) problem, since it is related to http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=194370 A patch was already submitted some months ago and reject by Andrew with some good reasons (in a nuthsell: we do not mess with external, often unmantained, code). I'll not likely change this decision for 1.0.5. I'm inclined to just disable nuv support for non-x86 platforms at configure level (of course with a big fat warning). 1.1.0 will not suffer by this problem since NUV support was rewritten. 1.0.5rc2 will follow in a few days addressing this and libmpeg3 issue.
