'k, based on one thread I found, I figured I'd upgrade to the latest CVS
before pursuing this further ...
I'm trying to convert from a vncrec .vnc file to .avi, and no matter what
I try, I keep getting zero frames :(
transcode -x vnc -y xvid -i 060509-20:22.vnc -o file.avi
transcode v1.1.0-cvs (C) 2001-2003 Thomas Oestreich, 2003-2004 T. Bitterberg

I've also tried with the -g 1600x1200 arg, just to make sure, but both
systems are running the same depth/resolution ...
Running -q 2, I'm seeing:
[export_xvid4.so] Using AVI output

Is there something I'm missing? Something I can do to provide more
information?
Thanks ...
