AVI itself has'nt notion of ASR (nor PAR and so on) different from
1:1, so
avimerge itself can't delete such informations.
That was what I was hoping for. Since the aspect ratio is stored in
the video stream, I was surprised to see that avimerge changed
something.
it's the video
player that, at playing time, should look at such private MPEG4
header then
adapt the displayed video frame accordingly.
All this process it's out of any standard that I know :), so maybe
it works
with a player, maybe it doesn't work with another.
From what I know, only mplayer uses this header.
The main problem is that we *seriously* lack developing time.
