I am sorry if I did not make myself very clear in my previous message so here is a bit more information. The files I want to handle would come from my Olympus digi-camera and are quicktime format. What I want to do is to select and stack images to give the equivalent of a longish single exposure for astronomical interest. There is no sound.
My attempt, for which I gave the list, was not from a command line but from the GUI gtranscode by selecting the GO button. I hope this makes things a little clearer. Norman Silverstone
