Please correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that avisplit is broken in transcode-1.0.2 and older.

That's possible, especially with OpenDML files.
avilib, as well as AVI tools deserve a major review and cleanup, but due to lack of manpower that's scheduled for after next major release (around 1.2.0 or later). In turn, next major release is still pretty far away for the same reason :(

Of course if someone want to take a look or to join the crew is surely welcome, just join transcode-devel and we'll start ;)

When splitting large AVI (OpenDML) files the audio becomes unplayable (at least on Windows for sure - I am still debugging thought). The problem manifests itself when the result AVI is OpenDML  and everything works fine when result AVI is non OpenDML. Video is fine (indexed properly), the problem appears to be with audio and from what I could see audio indexes get out of wack. I could trace the problem down to avi_close_output_file in avilib/avilib.c, but this is as far as I got...

I've reached similar conclusions. There isn't easy fix in sight (or at least not in my sight), nor is trivial to reproduce such problem so far

The easiest way to reproduce the problem is to grab big DV Type 2 file and split it to have more then 15000 frames in the output file.

That really helps! Thanks for suggestion.
