Hi all,

A new version of any2dvd has just been released, 0.32 -> http://any2dvd.sf.net

Using the magic that is Transcode (plus a host of other GPL apps), Any2dvd
will batch convert ANY PC multimedia video file(s) or network stream(s) into
DVD format and automatically create what I hope is an attractive set of DVD
menus.

* Supported file formats:
        .AVI, .MPEG, .WMV, .MOV, .ASF, .NUV (MythTV), .MKV, .OGM, .BIN
(S)VCD, .SWF, .NSV, .RM, .RAM, .ASX, .TS, .DV (Video Camera), .3GP (Mobile
Phone), .VP6 (Video only), .VP3 (Theora), .MP4, .VOB

* Supported network protocols:
        mms://  http://  rtsp://

* Supported subtitle file formats:
        .sub, .srt, .ssa, .smi, .rt, .txt, .aqt, .jss, .js, .ass

It has the added functionality of extra audio and subtitle processing and all
DVD audio formats are supported (MP2, DTS, AC3, PCM16, PCM24).
It can convert standard mono or stereo audio tracks into 5.1 surround sound
(this is the default).

DVD menus can be animated by way of grabbing frames from the clips to be
included on the DVD, and the background graphics and music/audio are fully
configurable.

A preview mode can be enabled so that the video can be watched as it is being
encoded in either X11 or on a console (X11 is not required).

The Any2dvd core package contains two bash scripts:
Any2vob - takes care of video/audio conversion and processing
Any2dvd - automatically creates the DVD menus, DVD iso and/or burns to DVD

Included in the tarball is a simple batch processing script called
any2windows_video, which will encode any multimedia file(s) into a format
that can be played on any Windows box without the need for there to be extra
codecs or ddshow filters installed.

Hope some find it useful, and don't hesitate to report any bugs if you do use
it.
For Gentoo users, an ebuild can be found here ->

Cheers,
Rick
