Hi, [please follow up this post instead of OP]
I have this 704x360 @ 16:9 video (noted as P * Q @ r1, cropped from 720x480 @ 16:9 source using -j 64,8,56,8), and want to transcode it to 640xx480 @ 4:3 mpeg (noted as X * Y @ r2). How could I manually calculate the resizing parameters for transcode? Forget to mention, I've done my homework... According to the transcode manual, original picture P * Q @ r1 should be zoomed to intermediate M * N @ r1, then pad back to X * Y @ r2. I've attempted many time trying to understand it, but the more I looked into it, the more chaos I seemed to get. (check the message "Trying to understand the aspect ratio" posted Sat, 29 Apr 2006 in this mlist) please help. thanks a lot! -- Tong (remove underscore(s) to reply) http://xpt.sf.net/techdocs/ http://xpt.sf.net/tools/
