checksum files are avalaible at http://fromani.exit1.org/transcode-1.1.0alpha6.tar.bz2.md5 http://fromani.exit1.org/transcode-1.1.0alpha6.tar.bz2.sha1 This is the third public release of new transcode branch aimed to be released as stable (hopefully) before the end of year. Code quality is still alpha, neverthless this release is recomendded for every experienced and/or brave user out there. Please help us in improve transcode and in make this release the better transcode release ever! If you was already using a CVS HEAD snapshot, you can safely upgrade to this release, since we're in stabilizing phase and we add only fixes and stabilization patches. Otherwise, I'll suggest to start tracking transcode_1_1 branch :) This release has few but very important changes. Some bugs reported on our mantis (http://tcfoundry.hostme.it/mantis) have raised the need for a serious and deep rewrite of transcode core internals. As result, our threading infrastructure was changed significantly and are partial rewrote. First tests are very promising, neverthless further testing is needed for non-linux platforms (mac os x). Some fixes merged during 1.0.5 cycle are backported as well. More to come. Full Terse ChangeLog (since 1.0.0) is on writing phase since it is pretty damn long. Only Inter-Changelog is avalaible yet: Terse ChangeLog follows (since alpha 4): transcode 1.1.0-alpha6 (20071103): ---------------------------------- - revamped framebuffer in order to address all known threading problems. Changed API to be saner. Improved and extended documentation. - improve flush support in new-style encoders. - NUV is supposed to work in x86 only, enforce this constraint in configure. - minor tweaks to new framebuffer code. - documentation updates (source code comments). - resync (feature wise) fixes with 1.0.x export_ffmpeg. this release is expected to build cleanly on i386 and amd64.
