Don't shoot me, even this is certainly one the of the most frequently
asked question on lists like this!
But I never found any explanation on the Internet about the actual
differences between MPEG-4 and MPEG-2. I only read that MPEG-4 is more
versatile (and it really is), but I'm more interested in compression
techniques, or other tricks that may make MPEG-4 more compressed at the
same quality level, or better in quality at the same compression level.
Any link or hint will be very much appreciated.
Sorry if this really is a very trivial question for most people on this
list.
