It describes a method to create BD-9 disks - a Blu-Ray structure on a
DVD-9 physical disk.
My goal is similar, I want to create BD-9, but starting with digital HDV
camcorders (the hi-def digital camcorders), which essentially generate a
1080i MPEG2 stream with MP2 audio.
So, the goal is to transcode 1080i MPEG2/MP2 to 1080i AVC/AC3.
Now, AVC is a form of H.264, if I'm not mistaken. Some restrictions
would apply to the bitrate (to not exceed DVD-9 size) and to the VBR
buffer size (to keep players happy).
How would you do that with transcode? What encoder would you prefer?
