1. direct encoding into one file would be nicer but I understand that
it's not possible but I'd like to be proven wrong, it would spare me
half of the disk space required.
You're right, transcode doens't yet support muxing into mpeg.
2. Much more important, the resulting audio file is not AC3 but MP3, I
guess I'm missing the magic option for tcaud, but I couldn't find any
documentation, not on the web, no manpage, and tcmodinfo neither.
Any clue on how to fix this?
Take a look at the -N and -A options, they may be helpful.
How can -A help, manpage reads "Only pass-through supported." and oss
delivers PCM as I understand?
I am the opinion I tried -N but I got an error, I'm not in front of my
PC, I'll try again once I'm back, my answer might take a little while.
Thanks, Eric
