Transcode development is dead and is in need of a maintainer, as such I doubt there's many people listening here (I may be wrong though). In all honesty your best bet is probably to use other tools, personally I would extract the video with mplayer and then use either mencode, ffmpeg directly, avidemux or vlc to transcode. -- Geoff
