Felix, Being very upfront, you have also come across not particularly well to my reading in this thread. You have been fairly demanding of what you are willing, or unwilling to try. I'll agree with what I think you are saying: nothing you say is particularly rude. But you are very terse and abrupt, and that comes across, to me, as ungrateful. Compare what you did write above, with how I might have phrased it: bram, I think I am confused about what file you are suggesting I open with streamclip. There are no files with an .mpeg (or similar) extension after the program exits. There is a file in the output dir. Is this what you are suggesting I run streamclip on? If so, I'm confused, as it is the result of the same 70% complete failure. --- Now, for something practical. If you are trying to get something off a DVD, why not use vobcopy, lsdvd, and dvdbackup directly? Simple and direct. Otherwise, it seems like you may be re-encoding the material into the same codec, which isn't usually what you want to do. -Ben
