When you create a record, and the database controls the ID, you will do
something like this:
<cfset newUser = transfer.new("user") />
<cfset newUser.setFirstName("Me") />
<cfset transfer.save(newUser) />
<!---// This is where you will get to see what the ID is, all the magic
happens inside the transfer.save method //--->
<cfoutput>
Hello #newUser.getFirstName()#, your ID is #newUser.getID()#!
</cfoutput>
