Thanks for the response. Interesting solution. My initial reaction/
concern is this is ok where you are filtering on the same column (as
in your example where you filter on "type") however in my scenario the
record can be applicable to more than one country so you'd end up with
duplicated records in each collection. My other concern with your
solution is that it can't expand dynamically i.e. if you introduce a
new "type" you'd need to add another relationship. I'll think about it
a bit more. Thanks all the same.

Anyone else got a solution?
