I've never used openBD before, so I wouldn't know where to begin debugging something like this...
You may way to try wrapping your call in usertest.cfm in a try/catch, and dumping the cfcatch variable. I know in Adobe ColdFusion you can often see more information that way if an error message is not forthcoming.
