Wow, thanks for the lengthy & quick replies guys :-). Appreciated. Your comment Tom on Transfer.getArray() is really the approach I was aiming at. I agree that I wouldn't generate hundred's of objects if a query is going to be large but in the scenario I'm looking at just now I've no more than 5 - 6 records (max.) per session.
I did think if I can't get Transfer to give me an array of objects it'll have to be a loop over the query, populate and sort in the array myself. Not a lot of extra coding but still. Anyway thanks for the input.... it puts my mind at rest that I was right ;-).
