Hi list

New versions of Pootle and the Translate toolkit was released
yesterday. The announcement for the Translate toolkit is in a separate
mail on the translate-devel list (and the translate-announce list).

This is only a bugfix release. The following bugs were fixed:
  * templates/pootlepage.html: Add link tags (stylesheet, favicon), Add
Content-Type
  * Fix traceback when searching for nonexisting text
  * Fix traceback when printing non-Latin text to console
  * Disable page caching for translation files (PO, CVS, etc.)
  * Import Kid explicitely, so that Pootle doesn't run if it is not
installed
  * Updated translations (default install now contains 22 languages)
  * Updates to the default preferences, including
    * better plurals for Arabic (thanks to Munzir Taha and Youssef
Chahibi)
    * Distinguish between simplified and traditional Chinese (thanks to
Abel Cheung)

If you are using Python 2.3, you will also want to upgrade the translate
toolkit to version 0.9.1.

This version is not yet installed on pootle.wordforge.org, but should be
very soon. Most of the bugs have however already been fixed on there. I
hope to have a server with Pootle 0.10 available for testing and
translation within the next week or two.

The release files are available for download at
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=91920&package_id=144807

Note that there are new dependencies to run Pootle starting with version
0.9. The dependencies for running Pootle are:
 * The Translate toolkit version 0.9.x
 * jToolkit 0.7.8 or later (http://translate.sourceforge.net/snapshots/
 * kid (http://kid.lesscode.org/)
 * elementtree (http://effbot.org/downloads/#elementtree)
 * ZIP (to provide ZIP archives)
 * PyLucene is optional, but helps to speed up searching. It has been
reported that Lucene searches can have slightly different results,
although this has not yet been confirmed. The report was for a search of
part of an Arabic word. We would appreciate more feedback on this.

The 0.9 release series is also available in CVS under the
wordforge-0-9-branch and the live documentation is available on the wiki
at
