Hi list

New versions of Pootle and the Translate toolkit were released
yesterday. The announcement for the Translate toolkit is in a separate
mail on the translate-devel list (and the translate-announce list).

This is only a bugfix release. The following bugs were fixed:
  * Fix default names for Chinese (they were the same)
  * Minor documentation updates
  * Support messages (like Login failure, etc.)
  * Support for cases where the PO file has the wrong number of plurals
or no plurals
  * Fix display of quick links on home page (certain links were doubled)
  * Updated translations (now shipping with 27 translations)
  * Update the default preferences file to enable languages with
reasonably complete translations

Of special note is the documentation of the "supportaddress"
configuration option. This enables the site administrator to specify an
e-mail address that will be included in the registration e-mails.

This version is not installed on pootle.wordforge.org, and probably
never will be. We are currently running release candidates for 0.10 with
hot fixes applied as necessary. This is probably the last release in the
0.9 series. The translations for 0.9 is still available on
pootle.wordforge.org, but updates will probably not be released
formally. Translations for the upcoming 0.10 release, are however very
welcome.

The release files are available for download at
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=91920&package_id=144807

Note that there are new dependencies to run Pootle starting with version
0.9. The dependencies for running Pootle are:
 * The Translate toolkit version 0.9.x
 * jToolkit 0.7.8 or later (http://translate.sourceforge.net/snapshots/
 * kid (http://kid.lesscode.org/)
 * elementtree (http://effbot.org/downloads/#elementtree)
 * PyLucene is optional, but helps to speed up searching. It has been
confirmed that Lucene searches can have slightly different results.
Lucene also allows for a special query syntax. I recommend that people
test this for their purposes to determine if they want to install
PyLucene.

The 0.9 release series is also available in CVS under the
wordforge-0-9-branch and the live documentation is available on the wiki
at
