More messages from the interface... ;)

1. Mostly when I double-click on a string to edit it, but
occasionally when I simply proceed to the next string, I get a
deformed display, often with no input field, but with strings all
mixed up, some missing, mismatched, a real mess. The screenshot below
shows one such page.

Sometimes, even if I keep trying to view the same string, I can't.
Other times, I can get to it by coming back, or by proceeding one
string at a time. I don't know what is causing this inability to
display a particular string for editing.

2. As I mentioned in a previous mail, there is an issue with
extremely wide original strings, not caused by the strings
themselves, but by the very long string-IDs in OOo. This screenshot:

http://www.riverland.net.au/~clytie/images/pushed_to_right.png

shows the input field completely covered by the Related pane, so I
can't click in it at all. I have to Tab until the field is selected,
then use the arrow-keys to move around in it.

This screenshot:

http://www.riverland.net.au/~clytie/images/ptr_obscures_buttons.png

shows both the input field and the action buttons obscured.

I have a wider screen than I used to have, and I reduced the width of
my tab drawer, but those OOo string IDs are just too long. We need to
restrict their display width in some way.

I hope this info.is useful. :)
