It's suffering from lack of time right now.

I'm buried in OpenOffice (finally at 100%, so I can read my email
before starting review), and Youssef Chahibi has probably been just
as busy.

He worked on a 1000-word base file, for quick matching, which I then
compared with my personal glossary, recommending terms for inclusion/
exclusion in the base file, and for inclusion in a larger file. I
sent that to him.

I haven't had a chance to get on IRC since, so I don't know where
he's up to. Youssef, are you there and have a minute? :)

I still aim to work on this project, but it will have to be time
snatched from OOo for a while. I want to go through both the base and
larger file, adding definitions. We're also going to create an
acronyms file. Youssef has already converted the Wikipedia list of
computing etc. abbreviations [1] into PO format, and I want to
compare it with my acronym page [2] and pending acronyms-to-add list,
and again work on a fairly comprehensive resource.

While I've been translating OpenOffice recently, I have really
appreciated the current terminology file, which has reminded me of
the current official vocabulary. It's so easy to forget the current
accepted way to transate each item, so Pootle's terminology file has
saved me looking items up. I've also been able to update the
terminology file, when the current translation has changed.

I think terminology files in Pootle, including acronyms, can save
translators a great deal of time, as well as performing a QA function
in reminding us of the correct terms and spelling.
