See http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/p/pootle/ About the issues you mention: - I think a Pootle user and group would make sense. - I think the README is probably done in a distribution specific way. The HTML documents can probably go somewhere else where it would fit with the layout of packages otherwise on your system, just as you might want to move the default PO directory as well. If you change these, of course it should be reflected in the default pootle.prefs that you ship as well. - Well, Pootle reads the translations as PO files and uses them live while running (in other words, any change in the translation of the Pootle project on the server should reflect immediately in the interface for that language. So using .mo files isn't a high priority, although it is probably a good idea for people that don't want to allow (re)translation of the Pootle interface. I haven't checked, but I think that Pootle and jToolkit (the framework with which Pootle is built) will / could perhaps fall back to some .mo file somewhere, or at least the support is there, or something like that (please forgive that I don't have any details here now :-) Patches welcome, of course :-) - The programs in the toolkit have the command line options --manpage, which outputs a very basic man page for that command. There are also man pages in the Debian package which might be of interest for you. F ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
