Translate.org.za & Mozilla are busy migrating Pootle from jToolkit onto
Django.

What this means for translators
In the near future, Pootle will start scaling much better, which means
more projects, more users, but most importantly: more speed.
Mozilla has also given Pootle a significant facelift, which makes the
experience of using it all the better.

What this means for developers
This is a good time to jump in and help us do a major rework of Pootle.
Django is an extremely cool framework and a joy to work on.
Our goals for the near future for Pootle modifications are as follows:
1. Stabilize Pootle - the shift onto Django has broken quite a lot of
functionality.
1.1. Right now we need to fix the authentication system.
2. Release the stabilized and tested Pootle.
3. Add concurrency to Pootle.
4. Release the newly concurrent version of Pootle.
A long term goal is to make Pootle entirely database backed. But the
sooner we reach the goals above, the sooner we can start thinking about
Pootle without files.

The most recent code in our repository already contains a lot of
changes. If you are interested in running the code, visit:
