Hallo Tamara
I won't be able to explain with all the steps, since it will depend a
lot on your circumstances. But the basic configuration you need in
Pootle, is to edit some entries in the file pootle.prefs (you probably
already edited some other values in there).
Specifically, you should look for the section that looks like this:
# Pootle.registration
#
# When users register, their details will be sent from "fromaddress" using the
# SMTP server "smtpserver".
# If specified, "supportaddress" will be given in registration emails as the
# address to contact with queries.
registration:
fromaddress = "pootle-registrat...@localhost"
smtpserver = "localhost"
# supportaddress = "[email protected]"
You will need to give valid values for at least 'fromaddress' and
'smptserver'. This will depend on your hosting setup and the way you can
send email from your server. Note that an invalid 'fromaddress' is
likely to make some mail servers mark the registration messages as spam.
You will need to restart the server for these changes to take effect.
Hopefully this puts you on the right track.
Keep well
Friedel
