I just thought I would mention that while the OLPC / Sugar Pootle instance is still an older 1.1 release, Sayamindu Dasgupta has made some useful enhancements. In particular, he has hacked up an automated msgfmt check and status indicator that displays next to the PO files when viewing a particular project. Either a check-mark or an "X" communicates some useful information about success or failure of msgfmt check that show in a message box on mouseover.
As many of the localizers working on Sugar strings are quite new to FOSS and localization, this feature provieds very helpful clues for language administrators trying to track down relatively common formatting errors (e.g. incorrectly editing Python variables in the strings and the like). It is a pretty neat hack. cjl ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
