Have you read the 1.3beta installation page? http://translate.sourceforge.net/wiki/pootle/installation_1.3beta If you have the needed dependencies installed (django-1.0, translate-toolkit-1.4), it's quite straightforward to run Pootle from SVN. After the checkout, and having the needed modules on your PYTHONPATH (see the setuppath.py script[1] for this), running PootleServer will setup your database structure and fill-in some defaults. The server will be available on your local host at port 8080. (For development purposes, I still prefer to go the Django way, running "python manage.py runserver", which leaves the server listening on port 8000). Hope this is useful. Julen.
