Ivan, my first comment is that the project scope is quite broad. Don't get me wrong, I like the end goal. But I think there are some closer near terms goals that could/should be reached first. I'd say that doing the following would take Pootle quite far before any of the more advanced things are needed. If we assume that we don't want to change timing, that the subtitle file exists already then that component of the broader project is already quite realisable. The end goal would be online translation of subtitle and viewing of the results. So what we'd need is: * Editing the subtitle files online - should work with Pootle 2.1 thanks to Alaa's work. * Displaying a media player, that plays the video with the translated subtitle - this would need to be integrated into the editor, would need to use hooks to generate the translated subtitle files and need some logic to know which file to use for subtitles. At this stage people can translated and view their results. Pretty good! Then looking at the more advanced things makes sense after this. I'd prioritise them as follows: 1) Change timings.
