Well, it could be due to uploading of invalid files... anyway not really 
sure.. they messed a lot with poodle as said.

You could also add a restriction in the "directory " model, so null values 
in the parent_id field throws an error (I'm not sure how django works, but 
in other frameworks like cakephp this is easy to do).
