Hello, I'm running pootle 2.1.4 to manage pot templates and po translation files for several languages.
I'd like to use it to directly manage translation of Java .properties files, but I'm having trouble getting that to work. When I directly put the properties file in the project directory and rescan, then the file does not show up in pootle. I've also tried uploading the properties file through pootle and I found that it was converted into a po file. In this mailing list there are several references to people developing workflows to convert formats back and forth, which appears to be very cumbersome. There are also references to pootle 2.1 adding the ability to directly edit properties files. Any suggestions as to why my properties files are not showing up in pootle? Do I need to do conversions of some sort or does pootle support direct editing of properties files? Is there a reference java properties file that is known to work properly?
