I'm not sure if updatetm[1] works in 2.0.x, haven't tested that personally, maybe someone on the list can help you. By the way, 2.0.x series is quite old, the current stable series is 2.1.x. Anyway, I guess the upcoming TM feature works quite better than updatetm — you'll be able to use your own amaGama TM server. But that'll be coming with Pootle 2.2. Julen.
