Did any of you guys ever see the commit flag hack that Sayamindu  had
done to our Pootle instance? Unfortunately we lost it in the last
upgrade.

It was a nice feature, you had a check mark if the PO file had been
committed, which changed to an X if there have been changes since the
commit. It is an easy way for lang admins to see what needs to be
committed.  A simple idea (in concept), but very useful. Otherwise,
you are poking around the git repo and looking at commit logs trying
to sort it out.

I will ask Sayamindu if he still has the code around somewhere to
share with you,  I wish I had it on our current instance.
