Hi all,

I have a large library of PowerPoint files which I need to translate to
20 European languages. Does anyone have experience working with these
file formats and Pootle?

The only way I have found to work with these files is to:

1. Run a macro on the PowerPoint file to extract all text into a .po
format

2. Upload the .po file into Pootle and have the strings translated

3. Manually re-insert the translated text into the PowerPoint file
(quite time consuming and very manual)

Ideally, once the translated strings were finished in Pootle, I could
use a converter to merge the .po with translated text back into the
original PowerPoint, replacing the source language.

If you know of any tools to help Pootle work with PowerPoint format
files, please let me know.

Thanks,

Brad Garrison
