Dear all, First, I would like to thank all of you who helped with the "MediaWiki 1.17" notice translation request.
As you might have seen, the tech team encountered quite a few issues and had to postpone the upgrade. Because the previous request mentioned a specific date and time, we couldn't reuse it. In order to avoid this problem in the future, I've created a new translation request, for a generic message that we can reuse for future maintenance. That way, we won't have to translate a different notice each time. It'll be less work for translators, and it'll give the tech team more flexibility.
