Mark, Sorry I could not have replied to this question earlier.
For NZ, A device with an ISDN port would require: - Telecom NZ approval (application to Telecom NZ for a "Telepermit" - the application can be made by a non-NZ based organisation however Telecom NZ will only issue a Telepermit to a NZ based organisation); - a DoC submitted to the NZ Ministry of Economic Development concerning compliance with EMC (does not need to be signed by a representative in NZ); and - if the device has an integral power supply, the mains cord and plugs etc are considered "Declared Articles" and would need electrical safety approval from the NZ Ministry of Economic Development also. As a result of MRAs (Mutual Recognition Agreements) between Australia and NZ it will soon be possible to comply in one country and be accepted in both for EMC and electrical regulatory compliance. this does not include Telecom NZ Telepermit approval however. Telecommunications compliance will still be a separate issue for Australia and NZ. My company does provide "Agent" services for Australia and therefore as a result of the MRAs this effectively means NZ now also however it is still not acceptable by Telecom NZ even though I have a very good relationship with Telecom NZ. Telecom NZ still only issue Telepermits to NZ based organisations. All, I have a product with an ISDN port that my company wishes to sell in New Zealand. All of the required testing has be done but I believe I need to have a representative in New Zealand to sign a D of C and to hold the test reports/ compliance folder. My company does not have an agent/ rep/ importer in New Zealand so I'm looking for any details members might have of an agent or company who can (for a fee) hold the necessary documentation so that we can sell our product in New Zealand ?
