Dear Friends,

I am looking for information regarding the regulation, in different countries, of Interactive TV (on its various forms and services: interactive games channels, t-commerce, etc.).

My question is focused on the regulatory structure rather than on the substance of regulation.

I am interested in learning what is the regulatory body that regulates interactive TV services – in the different countries with a dual regulatory approach (i.e. separate regulatory bodies for broadcasting and telecommunications). Does Interactive TV services (for example an interactive games channel) fall under the definition of television content/program, or any similar definition which grants regulatory powers to the broadcasting regulator, or are enhanced interactive services considered as telecom services and regulated by the telecom regulator? Are there any overlapping regulation/regulatory powers? Any synergistic work between the regulatory bodies?

Thanks in advance for your replies.
