Dear All: We have seen a number of messages going back and forth on TREG on the subject of Trade Marks.
Whilst TREG is not an advertising medium, I thought it would be useful if I communicated the existence of, and the name of our local associate who handles Patent Applications and deals with Community Trade Marks. We have already had cause to seek their opinion on one matter that arose from a TREG inquiry and I am sure that they will not mind contributing opinions to TREG if they can do so without this being too much of a drain on normal work load. In particular, this company, known as G F Redfern and Co., have a recognised representative on the list of persons permitted to act in Community Trade Mark matters before OHIM (Office for the Harmonisation of the Internal Market) - the office that administers Community Trade Marks. This office opened on 1st April 1996 to accept such applications. I would not suggest that Redferns subscribe to TREG as I don't want to burden them with normal TREG traffic but we will happily pass on any relevant enquiries and see if we can get answers.
