Advanced Computer Communications (ACC) located in sunny Santa Barbara, CA,
USA has an immediate opening for a Compliance/Homologation Engineer.  The
qualified candidate will have a BSEE or equivalent and minimum 5 years
experience.  Your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and managing schedules for all approvals for new products and
product enhancements

- Managing quarterly budget; responsibilities include getting quotes from
labs and contractors, initiating POs and reconciling invoices

- Generating weekly status reports and presenting approval status and
budget at monthly management program reviews

- Staying up-to-date with changing international and domestic approvals
requirements as they directly relate to ACC products

- Providing support to ACC sales & marketing and customers regarding
approvals and approvals requirements

- Providing info and research to R&D engineers during product design
regarding safety and telecom requirements

- Co-ordinaing engineering hardware and software support for all approvals
testing

- Review and sign off all ECOs and DAs as BABT Approvals Liaison Engineer (ALE)

- Managing follow-up visits with agency inspectors in SB and contract
manufacturing locations

You will be responsible for the following approvals:

safety (ITE) - UL, CSA, TUV, Austel

telecom - BABT, DGPT, BZT, BAKOM, JATE, CS03, Austel

EMI - FCC Part 15, FCC Part 68, Austel

ISDN Ordering Codes (IOCs) - Bellcore
