Standard voice grade copper cable should conform to TIA 568A Category 3
requirements, which are (briefly):

Characteristic Impedance: 100 Ohms (+- 15%), 1 to 16 MHz

Structural Return Loss: 12 dB (worst pair), 1 to 10 MHz
