Dear Mel Pederson, FTZ stands for Fernmeldetechnische Zentralamt (Telecommunications Engineering Centre). FTZ was responsible for producing and maintaining telecommunications specifications. These specifications all carry(ied) the 'FTZ' prefix. BundesAmt fuer Post und Telekommunikation (BAPT) is resposible for this. There are still several FTZ specifications valid.
German national specifications are available at: Bundesamt fuer Post und Telekommunikation Postfach 10 04 43 D-66004 Saarbruecken Germany tel: +49 681 598 0 fax: +49 681 598 1600 E-mail: [email protected] > Original Text > From: Mel Pedersen <[email protected]>, on 11/26/96 10:37 AM: > To: "'TREG'" <[email protected]> > > Dear TREG'ers: > > I am reading some overvoltage protection application notes for a = > particular U-interface IC.
